Workshop Paper “Government Policies for the Promotion of Organic Agriculture with a Focus on the Asian Pacific Region”

The workshop was organized by Korean Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries and Korea Organizing Committee for the 17th IFOAM Organic World Congress on 28 September 2011 at Namyangju, Korea.

The content of this workshop paper is divided into 3 main sections, i.e. overview and summaries, country reports, and international cooperation. The overview papers include:
– executive summary: Best practices for organic policy
– organic Asia 2011
– what type of policies do we need to develop and promote organic agriculture in Asia?

For the country reports, the paper includes reports from India, Japan, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, UK, the Netherlands, Canada, and USA.
