Earth Net Foundation is the global partner for the MESA Program for now over 3 years. MESA stands for the Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture. It provide the opportunity for participants from partner country to go to learn and work on organic farms in the United States of America over one growing season or one year. Earth Net Foundation has helped to send a number of participants involved in the Thai organic movement including new generation farmers and staff from its own network. The experience can be transformative and a number of alumni continue to play an important role in supporting the development of the Thai organic movement.
Earth Net welcomes the interest of Thais wishing to consider joining such a program. Now (until end of September) is the current period for initial interest and preliminary applications. Those accepted and chosen by host farms depart in late March and stay with their host farms until early November.
While we will consider any applicant, standard selection criteria include: between 20-35 yrs of age, in good health, has more than 2 years real farm experience, has a real interest in organic agriculture and supporting development of the Thai organic movement, basic English communication skills, good social adaptation skills.
